BPAD Level 3 Bushfire Planning and Design Accreditation The Fire Protection Association of Australia has accredited Blackash as an experienced Bushfire Planning and Design (BPAD) provider to Level 3 which provides the highest level of skill and qualification for Alternate Solutions. BPAD Accredited Practitioners are recognised by industry, regulators, fire agencies, end-users and the community as providers of professional bushfire assessment, planning, design and advice services. Being an FPAA BPAD-A certified provides our clients with confidence that we meet industry standards and maintain currency in our field. Lew Short – Director Blackash Bushfire Consulting Lew Short is a recognised expert in bushfire and emergency management, land-use planning, risk mitigation, consequence management, environment and the working of government.   Dan Pedersen – Principal Bushfire Ecologist Dan has over 15 years’ experience working for environmental consultancies on projects across NSW, QLD, NT, SA and VIC. His unique combination of bushfire planning and engineering, and ecological and land management experience and understanding enable a holistic assessment of environmental impacts, bushfire risk and landscape management suitability As a BPAD Level 3 Bushfire Practitioner and IFE Bushfire Engineering, Dan holds the highest level of accreditation issued in Australia, and is one of the few consultants in Australia to hold internationally recognised qualifications.
