Lew Short – finalist in Industry Award

Lew Short has been recognised by the Fire Protection Association of Australia to be a finalist in this years Fire Protection Association of Australia Awards for the Ron Coffey Award for Excellence in Bushfire Protection.

The Award is in honour of the tireless commitment and outstanding contribution of Ron Coffey to the bushfire protection profession. This award recognises his leadership and support of the industry and his dedication to advancing the Association’s bushfire protection programs. It was a privilege to work with Ron and the FPAA to set up and establish the Bushfire Planning and Design framework for NSW.

It is a great honour to be a finalist and to be considered for the Award as having contributed to achieving improved bushfire safety outcomes through developing innovative solutions to complex problems, provision of training and education, contribution to bushfire specific committees and working groups or development of bushfire protection products or services.

I look forward to Celebrating Excellence, Innovation and Outstanding Contribution in the Fire Protection Industry at the Crown Casino Aviary on 8 November 2019. Good luck to all finalists!
